Position Scope

This position will assist in coordinating and maintaining planning / purchasing aspects of all equipment maintenance as assigned to maximize utilization by providing all necessary maintenance services at the lowest cost while meeting production schedules.

 

The position is located at the San Miguel Mine (Christine, Texas), 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and promote a safe work culture.
  • Assist with planning priorities and workflow.
  • Scheduling vendors (cranes, hoists, building maintenance).
  • Monitor all maintenance shift adjustments.
  • Monitor backlog work orders.
  • JD Edwards – work orders, monthly hours, training, helping others.
  • Oil Analysis.
  • Miscellaneous projects assigned by management.
  • Vendor Interaction – evaluate component repairs, warranty issues.
  • Mechanical and supervision interaction.
  • Schedule needed training and testing – administer tests when necessary.
  • Schedule fire suppression maintenance.
  • Conduct meetings as assigned.
  • Provide weekly updates.
  • Travel to the field as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Three years of relevant experience. 
  • Associates degree or higher in the Maintenance field. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skilled in the JD Edwards software.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accurately budget for maintenance needs.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Detail oriented.
  • General mechanical background.

Summary

All successful candidates must:

  1. Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  2. Have a valid Driver’s License
  3. Have experience as requested as mentioned above
  4. Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
    • Breath Alcohol Test
    • Urine Drug Test
    • Fitness-to-Work Assessment
    • Audiometric Testing
    • Vision Screening
    • Criminal Record Check
